Chambless Residence

This residence reimagines the idea of a modern coastal home, balancing bold architectural expression with relaxed, livable spaces. The design emphasizes clean lines, generous proportions, and a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior.

From the street, the home is defined by a striking gabled entry framed with exposed timber elements and tall columns. This central volume anchors the composition, while the horizontal wings of the house extend gracefully into the landscape. Light-colored cladding, standing-seam metal roofing, and expansive glazing contribute to a sense of openness, drawing natural light deep into the interior and framing views of the tropical surroundings.

The rear façade embodies the home’s connection to outdoor living. Wide verandas stretch across both levels, shaded by deep overhangs and articulated with refined railings that add rhythm and detail. Large sliding glass doors dissolve the boundary between inside and outside, allowing living spaces to flow naturally onto the pool terrace. The pool and lounge areas become the heart of the home’s social life, designed for relaxation, gatherings, and a constant interplay with the landscape.
